In our flood risk assessments across the UK, we use HEC-RAS 6.6 to model river and floodplain hydraulics, providing a robust analysis of potential flood risks. This advanced software allows me to simulate water flow for different flood scenarios, such as the 1 in 100 or 1 in 200-year flood events, ensuring compliance with UK Flood Risk Planning Guidelines and Environment Agency requirements.

 

By modeling water levels, flow velocities, and potential flood extents, we can deliver precise assessments that inform effective flood mitigation measures. This helps ensure that developments meet both national flood risk standards and sustainability objectives.
